ABOUT ME
Growing up in Essex, I began taking photographs during my Art GCSE course at Moulsham High School. I quickly found a passion for it, so decided to continue my studies at A-level. Starting to learn and understand the fundamentals of Photography, I gained valuable experience shooting at local gigs, as well as a couple of trips to Wales. I never really nailed down a genre, finding the mixture of landscape, street and music photography refreshing. I studied mulitple photographers during this time (two notable ones being Andrei Tarkovsky, and Andreas Gursky) whom I still find myself implementing into my work today. Come the end of my A-Level course I had never taken photos abroad, and with more free time I wanted to branch out to capture new cultures and scenery. Following trips to Santorini, Portugal and Austria, I found the quality of my work rapidly increasing in every aspect. Over this period I taught myself how to edit my photographs with more detail in Lightroom, including the use of colour grading and masking. I continued to shoot for bands, and more trips to Madeira and Spain completed my Portfolio to date.
Currently, I am still equipped with the same Nikon D3100 as I did at the start of my journey, which I believe helps me recognise the clear improvements I have made. I also believe this is a testament to the fact that it's not the camera that matters, it's the photographer.
